Greetings Brethren:

The purpose of this site is to serve as resource center for members of this Order, and to insure that we have an International presence by which we can communicate.  I have been the Grand Prior only a short while, and due to the pressures of my various ministries and professional obligations, have not been able to devote the time that I needed to properly represent the needs of this Order.  Being the Grand Prior is indeed an honor, but it is also an honor I never personally sought.  I beleive there are several more qualified than I to wear the mantle, and in all honesty, I was highly content in my position as Chaplain General.

However, I ardently beleive that God is the one that ordains all authority, which means that I have to beleive HE does so, even when it pertains to myself.   So, while I wear the mantle, I will be doing my best to advance the cause of Christ, grow our Order, and minister to those our Order is privileged and honor-bound to minsister to:  Widows, orphans, and lost children being our religious duty, and defending the persecuted church as our soverign duty.

The church today is surrounded by enemies.  We have govermental enemies who wish to strip our religious freedoms from us.  Our ancient enemies, the Moslems, are pushing a world-wide radical agenda to see Islam as the world's pre-imminent religion.  Lastly, were are surrounded by world forces that mock our ancient standards of faith, hope, love, charity, virtue, chivalry, sacrifice, and honor as being antique and out-moded concepts.

It is well past time that the Templars took up the sword again in defense of the defenseless.  One of the ancient tenets of the Templars was that they would NEVER retreat in battle.  This is what made them such a fierce military force to deal with.  We need to apply that tenet to our own Order.  We need to commit to fighting evil wherever we see it, and not retreat in the face of ridicule or scorn.

The last century of the "Church" has witnessed an alarming trend.  The predominant membership of any congregation, regardless of denomination, is women.  Men have left both the local church and the faith in droves.  The reason behind this, I firmly beleive, is the degree in which modern feminism, and liberalism, have infiltrated the modern church.  Ancient tenets, which the Church has held as foundational for nearly 2000 years of existence, have been swept aside in contempt for "modern enlightenment."  Biblical mahood, as a result, has been superceded by "Metro-sexualism."  Man, by nature and design of God, is a protector.  A warrior tempered by love.  When even the Church has accepted the idea that being a "man" is a contemptible sin, can we expect true men to continue to support that which is contrary to nature?

An organization was birthed several years ago called "Promise Keepers."  They held numerous national conferences, and had a good idea behind them.  Men being men, and keeping the promises they made to thier wives and families.  I personally think the ministry was a good one, and the intent behind it was good as well.  Where I think the ministry fell short was not recognizing that as men, we NEED a mission.  We need to see tangible goals, and witness the fruit of our efforts.  Knighthood is a vehicle that allows for that.  We support one another in our beliefs, we support one another in our trials, and we engage in missions that have a positve impact on the world for the Glory of Christ.

Consider joining this Order, and serving either as a knight or part of our support group.  There is still time to show the world what real men and women, filled with the Spirit and knowlege of God, can accomplish when they work in concert.

In His Service,

Rev. Chev. Charles R. Jones, KGCTOJ,

Grand Prior of the United States

Sovereign Military Order of Christian Knights Templar
